Up until now, it’s only been speculation but US Senator Barak Obama is now official Presidential Candidate Senator Barak Obama. On Senator Obama’s web site, he announced he’s officially thrown his hat in the ring. If he can somehow get elected, we would potentially have the most intellectual President and First Lady in the White House in a very long time.

Yay! That’s all I have to say :)

This could be a good thing. Looking forward to his February 10th “I’m in” speech.

Meanwhile, I think that the Hillary Forces are secretly amassing in an undisclosed location to find a way to destroy the Hope Obama appears to be bringing to the table. One day Obama announces he’s running, the next day he finds pictures of himself doing cocaine as a kid on the front page of USA Today. Beware the Hillary Political Machine. That being said..let’s go Obama!

I am glad that there is an African America candidate, and I believe American might be willing to accept him, but he will be used as a complete scapegoat if elected. I don’t support the notion of him being VP, because they rarely transition into the role of President. If elected, Obama would be responsible for cleaning up the mess created by President Chaney (oops..Bush).I’d like to see the first black president have a opportunity to prove him/herself. It’s bad timing and unfortunately the blame will fall on him and the media would rewrite history to “reinterprete” the errors of the Bush Administration

I can understand where you’re coming from, Rochelle, and I agree with you… mostly. I believe that Obama will, if elected, be faced with the tremendous task of cleaning up Bush’s + Cheney’s mistakes, but I think he can do it… Someone’s has to fix things. We can’t allow things to perpetuate as they are.

I say it’s better to pick the right man for the job and get it right the first time, than to let someone less qualified be the scapegoat while we save our best man for later.

I think Senator Obama would agree with me when I say that it’s not about Obama looking good in the history books, but about what’s best for America for now and the future.
