Happy Holidays!

Presents and Boobies
All I want for Christmas is presents and sweater puppies! Is that immature of me?

I’m not really much of a holiday person. I can count the number of people who I’ve wished a Merry Christmas on one hand. But I like being able to take a day off from work as much as the next guy. So with that in mind, I’m wishing you all a happy holiday and taking a few days off from The Brown. I’ll still be moderating and responding to comments, but no more articles from Antuan until Wednesday, Dec. 27th.

Aaron may still drop an article or 2 in on ya, but I can’t speak for him (or the queen of mean will try to fight me, and I’m afraid of her.) So, stay tuned!

Some of you may have noticed that things are picking up here at brilliantbrown, there have been more entries about a wider variety of topics. Well, it’s only gonna get better in 2007. Even more articles, even more topics, even more features and a few surprises!

So I’ll see you guys on Wednesday with a fresh article! Now would be a good time for you to go back and read + comment on some of the articles you may have missed!

-Cheers.

The Queen of Mean, huh? Cute, I’ll be DAT!! but just know that I’m not always like this…if you can imagine, I’ve calmed down considerably since HS, so I must have been Hurricane Hugo or something! I just have low tolerance for foolishness and I do enjoy the constitutional freedom to express my opinion. In 2007, I am not even going to put that down as being one of my resolutions, because I already know, habits are hard to break and I’m not so sure I’m willing to break that one…yet! Certain people can get through though, and I know that on a website, tones can be misinterpreted. I will say that I enjoy reading the articles and if I feel a certain way about it, I will speak up. I’m no one’s “YES” woman, so I hope that’s not what the site was created for.

I will say that opinions of all directions are always welcome here on The Brown, so you’ll alway be welcome to share. We do not, by any measure, suggest that anyone censor themselves. Everyone (readers and authors) is allowed to say whatever they want. Everyone here is, presumably, grown and should be able to act accordingly.

My theory is that the cream will always rise to the surface. Meaning that the truth will make itself apparent through continued discussion, negating the need for censorship. I’ve never met anyone with whom I agree with 100%, but that doesn’t mean they can’t say what they want.

I agree that website posts are very easily misconstrued, and I suggest that everyone keep that in mind when reading and posting.
