Watch it. Love it. Discuss it.
Yes, the Wachowski brothers (and sister?) have outdone themselves again. This is now the most anticipated film on my rader, but this is just the trailer. The actual film could be the best movie ever shot or the worst steaming pile of crap ever. One thing is for certain, there will be no gray area with a film like this.
Soooo… I got my hands on a screener DVD of American Gangster last week and watched it with the Mrs. this weekend. I’m not going to spoil too much because I know that you’ll all be at the theatre this weekend watching it when it comes out. So I’m going to give you a few initial impressions of the overall experience.
Does this look like a black man to you?
I can’t take it anymore. If one more person complains about Autobot Jazz being the so-called “black” Transformer, I’m going to scream. Then I’m going on a rampage. A screaming rampage.
Listen people. Robots don’t have race. They don’t even have skin. If Jazz is the “black” Transformer, then it is because YOU have made him so. Let me reiterate. If you saw the Transformers film and you think that Autobot Jazz is “black”, then you are a racist. Let that sink in for a minute…

I went to the same showing of Transformers as AJ just spoke about. Actually I was the first in line here in Augusta, showing up some 3 hours early for the honor of being #1 Transformer Fan. I was a little disappointed that no one showed up dressed as a Transformer, but that’s okay I guess. (Although, an estimated 80% of the full house wore Transformers t-shirts, myself included.)
Okay, so we’ve already got one review of the Transformers Movie… do we really need two. Well, yes. It’s that awesome. It’s so awesome that it now replaces RoboCop as my Official Most Awesome Movie Ever™. So without further ado, I present my SPOILER FREE review.

I just came back from seeing the best movie ever, Transformers. The CGI robots looked great, the storyline was hokey, but funny enough to keep grown ups interested, and the fight scenes were amazing. As of matter of fact, I’m sure you’ll read thorough critical reviews of the movie written by trained professionals, so I don’t need to reinvent the wheel, instead I’ll name my top 3 moments from my new favorite movie of all time…
