I am hip hop. Recently, Nas said that hip hop is dead. Since I’m still moving around, I guess that makes me a hip hop zombie. I’m cool with that.
I bring to the table a unique omni-directional world-view. This isn’t to say that I’m all knowing, but rather that I’m able to see things from other perspectives. I have strong opinions, but I’m flexible enough to listen to reason. I’ve been the nice guy and the asshole. There have been times in my life where I was proud of being black and times where I was ashamed of my skin. I’ve been on both sides of most situations that I talk about. The truth is somewhere in the middle of extremes, so I feel like that qualifies me (at least by my logic) to talk about the subjects that you’ll find on this site.
The thing I want most out of brilliantbrown is intelligent conversation. The City of Augusta, my current home, is pretty dull, so I’m always on the lookout for people to talk to and things to do. So utilize the comment box under the articles, I always respond. If you agree with what I say, then comment. If you disagree, then you have even more of a reason to comment! We don’t censor our readers (except for the spammers, they get no love) and welcome intellectual challenges, so your thoughts and ideas will get through.
