Okay, so it’s only a series of 10second snippets. But if this is any indicator, this is gonna be a hot album. I was already going to buy this on release date (as part of my plan to get rid of 50cent once and for all), but now I’m pretty sure that this album will be in heavy rotation once I get it in the CD changer.
There’s an interesting article over on Undercover Black Man about blacks being perceived as monkeys, which I thought was interesting because I didn’t think people still thought like that. It’s an interesting read that goes into depth about some of the history of this egregious stereotype.
Additionally on Ask This Black Woman, there’s an article about the phenomenon of BBFs (Best Black Friends) in American cinema and television. It’s a shorter read, but there is an interesting perspective to be gained. Check this out as well and participate in the discussion taking place on both of these fine sites.
