The Pursuit of Happyness

Will Smith’s newest film, the Pursuit of Happyness is the kind of film I’ve been waiting on for a long time. We live in a time were Hollywood has gone out of it’s way to sensationalize negative stereotypes about black men and characterize us as gangsters, pimps and deadbeat dads. We also live in a time where young knuckleheads are more than happy to live up to the stereotypes with which they’ve been presented. Amidst all of this, Smith’s performance as a determined and hardworking father is noteworthy, to say the least.

How to treat a dime.

I know sometimes it seems like we’re picking on the ladies here on brilliantbrown, but we do have advice for the men, too. This is one of those articles. Ladies, feel free to read along and comment, your opinions are always welcome. Today, I want to talk our male readers about what to do when you find yourself in a serious relationship a good woman, specifically a dime. I work best with metaphors and I just finished watching Days of Thunder, so I’ll start out with one. Read on:
